1. How long do swimming goggles last?

Swimming goggles last 6 months to 2 years, depending on use and care. Anti-fog coating fades in 3–6 months, while silicone seals weaken with chlorine. Rinse after swimming, store in a case, and keep out of sunlight to extend its lifespan.

2. What are the best swimming goggles for beginners?

Beginners should choose goggles with soft silicone seals, adjustable straps, and easy fit. Tinted or yellow lenses improve indoor visibility. At Optica Uganda, the SH-6933 is ideal — affordable at UGX 27,000, comfortable, and leak-free for recreational swimming.

3. What’s the difference between training goggles and professional swimming goggles?

Training goggles focus on comfort and durability for daily pool use. Professional goggles are streamlined, hydrodynamic, and built for speed with tighter seals and precision optics. Optica Uganda stocks both — from recreational models to competitive performance designs.

4. Are there swimming goggles for both men and women at Optica Uganda?

Yes. Optica Uganda offers swimming goggles for men and women with adjustable straps and nose bridges to fit different face shapes. All models feature anti-fog lenses, UV protection, and leak-proof seals. Shop online or visit Kampala branches for expert fitting.
